About CTC Wantage

CTC Wantage is a local cycling group of the CTC, the UK's national cyclists' organisation, covering Wantage in Oxfordshire and surrounding towns and villages.

We are a friendly group offering rides for all types of recreational rider predominantly on the roads and occasionally along the local by-ways and bridleways. We cater for beginners and more experienced riders, families - in fact anyone who enjoys a bit of fresh air and exercise on two wheels.

  • We are in the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
  • The area has many miles of roads with low traffic volumes
  • Whatever the weather or time of year you will find us out on rides
  • We organise regular days and weekends away to new areas
  • Our social events are a highlight of the calendar
  • We sometimes do longer rides to places of interest
  • We organise mountain bike rides on local by-ways and bridleways
  • Our annual charity ride to White Horse Hill before Christmas

We operate a regular programme of rides and social events that are open to all members. If you've never ridden in a group before, have a look at how we ride for what to expect and how to prepare.
